All meta types have type?

#1

Hi guys,

reading through other questions already asked here in the forum https://discuss.mindmaps.io/t/number-of-metatypes/54 I have figured out that there are 8 meta-types in a Mindmaps Graph.

  • So all the meta types in the graph have a type, always? or we can have concepts without types?
  • Do they all have type: type ?
  • Is type your root concept? does it have an ISA edge to itself?
  • all the nodes that are NOT meta types in the graph need to have a type? or we can have entities without type?

If you could give me some clarifications,
that would be great,

Thanks

With this current release meta types structurally have a type. They are effectively the root node just broken down into more granular detail. This means for 0.1.0 every concept has a type.

Do they all have type: type ?

All meta types have the type type, any other type you define have more specific types. For example, if you define an Entity Type that will have the type Entity Type

Is type your root concept? does it have an ISA edge to itself?

Yes and yes for this current release.

All the nodes that are NOT meta types in the graph need to have a type? or we can have entities without type?

Yes everything needs a type. No anything you create will implicitly have a type assigned it.
